Help Raise Awareness

Get involved!
Get involved and show your support by hosting educational and social events. These events can be fun but also a great way to spread awareness about Alzheimer's disease. It may also be used as a way to connect and share with others who have had experience with Alzheimer's disease. You may find yourself learning new ways to cope and gaining a better understanding.
Another way to raise awareness is to create a service project around your cause. Allow different clubs and groups to volunteer to work together to help.
The easiest way to raise awareness is by simply sharing the story of your experiences with Alzheimer's. You can share your own feelings or the feelings of your loved ones. Sharing your story will help others who are also facing the situation feel less alone. It will also make people who haven't had any experience dealing with Alzheimer's more aware of the problems, feelings, and changes associated with the disease.
A network that empowers and connect others can be a great place to share your story and give personal support. You can find communities both online and locally. You may consider finding your own method of bringing people together.
You can also create articles and checklists that provide helpful tips for people. Useful advice from a person who has already experienced what you are going through can make facing problems a lot easier.
Distributing informational brochures and inserts in different locations. You should pick locations where people who will find it useful may find it.
If you want to get more creative, consider designing wallet cards, or magnets. Small reminders about Alzheimer's disease that can be put in places that people will see it often such as a wallet or refrigerator.
You can also do your research and become a trusted expert. Create a website with information about Alzheimer's disease that is backed by research and proven data. Be sure to show your gratitude to others who are also working to help people with Alzheimer's disease.
Show your loved one you care and support them by learning how to care for them, both physically and mentally. Participating in Remember November and other activities that gets you involved in spreading awareness about Alzheimer's disease.
