Remember November

Alzheimer's Awareness Month.

Alzheimer's Awareness Month is in November. It's a month dedicated to bringing awareness to a disease that affects over 5 million people. You can participate in Remember November through various activities that support people with Alzheimer's disease.

You can participate in walks where the proceeds will go to research and raising awareness about the disease. These walks are held year-round, you should try to find one being held locally.

But walks aren't possible for everyone, another way you can participate is by donating. You can donate to any of the organizations that are credible and dedicated to finding a cure and supporting people who suffer from Alzheimer's disease.

You should also consider volunteering with Alzheimer's patients. This may be beneficial to you as well. Volunteering is very rewarding and will offer you the opportunity to learn even more about Alzheimer's. Volunteers are always needed, look for volunteer opportunities within your local area.

You can also participate by taking a free memory screening. The screening can help discover if you or a loved one is experiencing memory problems. The free screening is offered by the National Memory Screening program and is available in locations all around the country. Alzheimer's Awareness Month is a great way to learn and educate others on the signs and symptoms of Alzheimer's disease. It's also a great time to show your support.

But awareness and support for people who suffer from Alzheimer's disease are needed every month. Become a leader and get involved, show your support for Alzheimer's disease patients all year.
